Pioneer PDP-6070HD PureVision 60" Plasma TV Overview
Pioneer PDP-6070HD plasma TV can accept HDTV pictures using its HDMI input despite its natural resolution of 720p. With the help of two NTSC and ATSC tuners you can access SDTV broadcasts and videos. Its 10-bit video processor presents true-to-life pictures with high contrast and low noise levels. In fact, there are four reduction settings each that can be used to watch digital and mpeg videos. The Crystal Emissive Layer technology enables this TV to produce deeper blacks and images with increased brightness and contrast. This makes the pictures look great with better details in darker scenes. This unit has an unique 3:3 pull down feature can enhance the picture quality of simple DVD, videotape or SDTV shows to get the smooth and natural reproduction that you can get in a cinema hall. To get the optimum performance of this TV, you need to tweak the picture settings provided in this TV. There are colour temperature settings, aspect ratio settings and usual picture settings like brightness, contrast etc. There is also PIP feature (Picture in Picture) which enables you to watch two images from different sources simultaneously. The input options that you get with this Plasma TV are numerous. You can virtually connect any home video device or TV cables. There is generous input sockets for viewing SDTV and EDTV materials. "I bought Pioneer PDP-6070HD PureVision 60" Plasma TV from a local dealer here in Ohio. I have to say, this is my 3rd plasma, and it's the best I've ever owned. Incredible value for the money. I paid almost this much for a 50" nec in february, and this thing is 60" and so much better as far as picture quality, blacks, colors, no image retention (which for non-tech readers, is the precursor to burn-in, which is a permanent image scarring on the tv). I have HD from Time Warner and it looks like you're looking out a window. Our main seating area is about 8-10' from the screen. It has a 15 pin Dsub connector for connecting a computer. I have my PC connected to it, and it is awesome to surf the web at 60" of screen. Coupled with a Gyration mouse and keyboard, this is the ultimate computer monitor."

"One Of The Best Tvs I have ever owned, great picture, no burn in, and believe me I have played hours of XBOX 360 on Pioneer PDP-6070HD PureVision 60" Plasma TV. Beautiful enclosure, not big and bulky on the sides or oddly shaped like some large plasmas are. The weight is the only downfall weighing in at close to 200lbs. If your in the market for a 60' HDTV this is the one to get."

"Even though I already own a 58" Panasonic Plasma, when Sams Club had a terrific deal on Pioneer PDP-6070HD PureVision 60" Plasma TV, I jumped on it. I have loved my 58" Plasma Pana since the day I bought it last summer, but this Pioneer is a big notch above the Panasonic in term of color reproduction and black level. With a HD source, the picture of this TV is breathtaking. I compare it with my brother 52" 1080P Sony LCD that he just bought last month.. and...the result is :: This 720p Plasma TV wins by a large margin, even my brother agreed. He felt so bad about buying that 52" LCD SONY but it is too late, he could not refund it since it already passes 30 days limitation. And he paid over 1K more for his LCD over this Pioneer gem.If you see a closed out deal for this TV out there. Jump on it. You will not regret."

"I bought Pioneer PDP-6070HD PureVision 60" Plasma TV for $2993 at Sam's Club. One of the reasons I preferred this TV was because it had a USB port for external memory hook-up (want to use it as a giant digital photo frame). Unfortunately, the "Home Gallery" feature (similar to Panasonic's "Gallery Player") is limited in it's features: does not read all files, renders an ugly blue border for all pictures (why not BLACK at least!), has no background music option."
